Dear Ming,
Could I choose the chinese words for the meaning of my English name rather than choosing one that sounds like my English name? My given name is "Bonnie Loucille", which means "beautiful light".
I would like the chinese words and charecters that represent that meaning e-mailed to me.
Thank you so much for your time and this sight.

Dear Bonnie,
Thanks a lot your interest in my site.
Yes, of course you can choose your Chinese name according to the meaning of your English name. More broadly, you can choose any Chinese character as your Chinese name.
If according to "Beautiful Light", then the character for "Light" can be found here:

The character for "beautiful" can be found here:
http://dict.cn/%E7%BE%8E.htm
You can put them together as your name. Two-character Chinese name is normal. Please be sure to put the character for "light" at the last so that it is a male name. If you put the character for "beautiful" at last, it is normally a female name.
Hopefull, it helps.
Kind Regards
Ming
